
Our Approach
Dan received his pilots license when he was 17, and went to school for his A&P right out of high school. He learned to paint while working nights after school at the Beechcraft dealer at Eppley Airfield in Omaha. He received his A&P license in 1979 and went to work for Central Air Transport in northwest Ontario. There he maintained a fleet of float planes comprised of a Dehaviland Otter, Beaver, Beech 18, Cessna 180, and an Aztec on gear at the airport in Pickle Lake, Ontario.
Byker Aviation was formed in 1999 with the purpose of providing a high quality and competitively priced aircraft restoration. We have restored 18 aircraft to date, and pride ourselves in not cutting corners, but focus on providing the customer with a quality restoration.
Dan also has his Inspectors Authorization and can provide annuals, major repairs and alterations, and guidance on field approvals.
